Do you have experience working in a Technical department within food manufacturing and are wanting a new challenge? This opportunity is for a Technical Assistant where you can work alongside an established team pulling in the same direction. You would use your technical experience to support with this position, which requires a strong understanding of specification writing, artwork approval, and customer online portal systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for artwork and specification approval & updates
  • Updating specifications on customer portals
  • Arrange collection & testing such as shelf life and various chemical testing, logs and trend results for KPI reporting
  • Support the Technical Manager with site & customer audits
  • Assist with traceability & mass balance exercise during customer audits

Requirements:

  • A good working knowledge of current BRC standard
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and regulations
  • Familiarity with online customer specification systems / portals
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, for communication with suppliers, customers, staff and audit situations
  • Ability to create and update customer and product specifications
  • Level 3 HACCP and Food Safety or willing to work towards
