About the Business
I’m working with a well-established food manufacturing business looking to appoint an Engineering Supervisor to lead shift engineering activity and keep operations running at peak efficiency. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys a fast-paced, high-volume environment and isn’t afraid to lead from the front.
The Role
You’ll take full responsibility for engineering performance on shift—leading the team, minimising downtime, and ensuring the site runs safely and efficiently.
Salary: up to £55,000
Shift: Mon - Fri days (7am-4pm or 6am-3pm)
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of engineers on shift
- Oversee all planned and reactive maintenance activity
- Minimise downtime and support production targets
- Drive a proactive, preventative maintenance culture
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and engineering projects
- Ensure compliance with H&S and food safety standards
- Act as the senior engineering contact on shift, escalating where required
