Sales Executive – Speciality Chemicals

£30,000– £45,00 base (DOE) + performance & commission bonuses

Are you a technically strong Chemistry graduate with the commercial drive to succeed in a fast-growing, international environment? This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic speciality chemicals distributor that has rapidly established itself as a leader in the various sectors and markets including food, animal feed, cosmetics, and pharmaceuticals.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a lean, entrepreneurial environment and wants to play a meaningful part in shaping the growth of both established and emerging business units.

You’ll manage and grow customer relationships, uncover new commercial opportunities across the UK & EU, and contribute to strategic decision‑making through market research and analysis. This is a customer‑facing, high‑impact role with exposure to senior stakeholders from day one.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Identifying and winning new business opportunities across multiple markets
  • Managing and deepening relationships with existing customers
  • Conducting market research to spot trends, competitor activities, and new opportunities
  • Monitoring sales metrics, preparing reports, and supporting forecastingCreating and delivering client‑ready technical presentations
  • Representing the company at trade shows, conferences, and industry events
  • Contributing to process improvements, tools, and sales methodologies

What We’re Looking For

  • Degree (BSc/MSc) in Chemistry or a related scientific field
  • Strong commercial acumen and analytical capability
  • Ability to conduct market analysis and support sales planning
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills
  • High proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams)
  • Ability to work independently, including remote working
  • Confident producing and delivering professional presentations
