Overview

This position will focus primarily on supporting the consultancy’s clients by ensuring external design submissions meet the required technical, regulatory, and project-specific standards. The Role

  • Review and verify third-party mechanical designs, drawings, and specifications to ensure compliance with client requirements and relevant standards.
  • Identify design risks, clashes, or deficiencies, and raise clear, constructive feedback for resolution.
  • Support project managers and client stakeholders by translating technical issues into practical advice and guidance.
  • Liaise with subcontractors to clarify design intent, coordinate updates, and ensure timely resolution of queries.
  • Contribute to technical design review meetings and maintain accurate review documentation.
  • Support the consultancy in representing client interests during design phases, ensuring accountability and quality throughout the supply chain.

Candidate Profile

The successful candidate will have a strong background in mechanical design combined with a sharp eye for technical detail and quality control. Prior experience in design checking, consultancy, or contractor oversight within continuous manufacturing products will be highly advantageous.

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of mechanical design principles, manufacturing processes, and design standards.
  • Proficiency in interpreting detailed 2D and 3D CAD models and technical documentation.
  • Experience reviewing design work, identifying errors, and managing technical feedback loops.
  • Previous experience in a client-representative, consultancy, or owner’s engineer role.
  • Working knowledge of software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or Revit (for model interpretation).
