Maintenance Engineering Manager
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Maintenance Engineering Manager to join a market-leading food manufacturer based in Ledbury, Herefordshire.
As a key member of the production leadership team, you will oversee the Engineering function, driving continuous improvement, efficiency, and innovation. You’ll be responsible for leading a diverse team in a dynamic environment, ensuring the business continues to meet the demands of our customers worldwide. You\’ll be involved across the entire engineering department, including projects, strategy and maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop the Engineering team to deliver reliable, efficient, and innovative solutions.
- Manage maintenance activities across electrical and mechanical equipment.
- Analyse current methods, drive KPIs, and implement process improvements.
- Champion continuous improvement projects and lean manufacturing practices.
- Support Capex and operational transformation projects to meet future growth plans
About You
- Hands-on engineering background with both electrical and mechanical expertise.
- Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or related discipline (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years’ experience leading an engineering team within manufacturing.
- Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.
- A natural leader with excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Comfortable managing change and fostering a culture of adaptability and growth.
