We’re recruiting for a Multi-Skilled Engineer to join a well-established manufacturing business, supporting a busy production environment. This is a varied, hands-on engineering role covering mechanical, electrical and pneumatic systems, with responsibility for maintaining equipment reliability, reducing downtime and supporting continuous improvement across the site.
The Role
- Planned preventative maintenance across production equipment
- Mechanical and electrical fault finding
- Responding to breakdowns and minimising production downtime
- Root cause analysis and reliability improvements
- Supporting PLC and control-related faults
- Installation and commissioning of new equipment
- Continuous improvement and equipment modification projects
- Working closely with production and engineering teams
About You
- Previous multi-skilled maintenance experience within manufacturing
- Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills
- PPM and breakdown experience
- Knowledge of production equipment, controls and PLCs
- A recognised engineering qualification or time-served apprenticeship
Food, drink or wider FMCG manufacturing experience would be advantageous but isn’t essential. This is a site-based shift position, with some flexibility required around weekends and bank holidays depending on production requirements.
