We’re working with a well-established food manufacturing business looking to appoint a Production Supervisor to support their large-scale butchery operation. This is a hands-off supervisory role, leading a team of 17 skilled butchers within a busy, fast-paced production environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving performance, maintaining high standards, and ensuring production runs safely, efficiently, and to specification.
The Role
As Production Supervisor, you’ll take ownership of day-to-day butchery operations, ensuring the team is working effectively to meet production targets while maintaining excellent standards around quality, yield, hygiene, and safety. Key responsibilities will include:
- Supervising a team of 17 butchers across a large-scale butchery environment
- Planning daily workloads and ensuring production targets are achieved
- Monitoring line performance, labour efficiency, yield, waste, and product quality
- Ensuring all work is carried out in line with food safety, hygiene, and health & safety standards
- Supporting, coaching, and developing butchers across the department
- Managing performance, attendance, and standards across the team
- Working closely with production, technical, engineering, and planning teams
- Identifying improvements around efficiency, process flow, waste reduction, and team performance
- Ensuring all paperwork, traceability, and compliance documentation is completed accurately
About You

- Previous supervisory, team leader or management experience within a food manufacturing environment
