An absolutely fantastic Global client is looking to add a Buyer to their team. Experience using SAP & working in a manufacturing environment are essential. They are a people first business, with huge plans and continued growth. If you are currently in a Junior or administration role within procurement and purchasing, they will strongly consider you and look to invest back to help you grow with the business.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure the timely and efficient procurement of goods, services, and equipment in alignment with the company’s needs and objectives.
- Identify, evaluate, and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to secure high-quality products at competitive prices.
- Create, track, and manage purchase orders, ensuring on-time delivery and resolving any issues that arise in the procurement process.
- Work closely with inventory and warehouse teams to ensure adequate stock levels and prevent shortages or overstocking.
Skills & Experience required:
- Relevant experience in procurement of both goods and services, particularly in environments where compliance with industry standards is critical.
- Familiarity with inventory management and the ability to coordinate with warehouse teams to ensure supply chain efficiency.
- Demonstrated experience in cost control, budgeting, and identifying opportunities for cost savings while maintaining quality.
- Experienced user of SAP.
