Are you passionate about food safety, quality and maintaining high standards across a fast-paced food environment? We are recruiting a Technical Supervisor – Food Safety & Quality for a successful and growing foodservice business in Bradford. This is a great opportunity for an experienced QA, Technical Coordinator, Senior QA or Quality Systems professional who is ready to take the next step in their career. You will work closely with the Technical Manager and play a key role in maintaining food safety, legality, quality and audit readiness across the site.
The role
- Support the Technical Manager across all technical and quality activities, helping to maintain and continuously improve the site’s food safety and quality systems.
- Maintain and improve the site Quality Management System and HACCP plans.
- Support BRCGS, customer, internal and local-authority audits.
- Promote a positive food safety and quality culture across the business.
- Conduct GMP, hygiene and food safety audits.
- Manage customer complaints, non-conformances and root-cause investigations.
- Ensure corrective and preventive actions are completed effectively.
- Maintain product specifications, allergen and nutritional information.
- Support the supplier approval process and keep technical records accurate.
- Monitor quality trends and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Train and guide colleagues on food safety, hygiene and quality standards.
- Support traceability, audit preparation and wider technical projects.
- Assist with environmental reporting, including EPR data collection.
What we’re looking for
- Strong experience within food safety, quality assurance or technical compliance.
- Good working knowledge of HACCP, BRCGS and food safety management systems.
- Experience supporting internal, customer or third-party audits.
- Knowledge of GMP, hygiene standards, complaints and non-conformance management.
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem solving.
- The confidence to communicate with colleagues across production, operations and management.
- A full UK driving licence, as occasional travel to other company sites will be required.
HACCP Level 3, Food Safety Level 3, internal-auditor training or a food-related degree would be advantageous. You do not need to be an established Technical Manager. This role could suit a strong Technical Coordinator, Quality Systems Coordinator, Compliance Coordinator, Senior QA, QA Supervisor or Technical Analyst looking for broader responsibility and progression.
