Data and Knowledge Advisor at Moorhouse. Knowledge Management is undergoing a transformation, moving beyond conventional document management systems. At Moorhouse, this evolution is pivotal to maintaining our position as a leader in thought leadership and capability development. Our objective is to empower our consultants to consistently exceed the expectations of our diverse clientele. This new position coordinates data management, environmental alignment, and knowledge/document control across the business. Shaped by new AI capabilities, it focuses on improving how information is captured, governed, and shared. The post-holder will advance our knowledge management strategy and support our Integrated Management System to keep processes consistent and audit-ready.
In addition, the post-holder will support effective data management by helping define a robust data warehouse approach, ensuring information is structured, governed, and accessible for reporting and decision-making. This includes overseeing storage management practices (e.g., retention, access control, and lifecycle management) so data remains secure, compliant, and cost-effective. In parallel, the role contributes to environmental management by enabling carbon-related data compliance to support continuous improvement against our sustainability goals.
Responsibilities:
- The role forms part of the newly established SOCKET Team (Security, Office, Compliance, Knowledge, Environment and Tech function), which is dedicated to business enablement.
- Assisting the Knowledge Manager in re-energising the intranet Connect Moor and offering a single source of truth by publishing daily news and articles, conducting weekly site audits to ensure content remains engaging and implementing new intranet features utilising the Microsoft suite.
- Promoting and supporting the use of digital collaboration tools while overseeing knowledge management systems against our environmental strategy.
- Reviewing data strategy against our latest MS tools and requirements for clients.
- Data management ensuring data retention and best practice for client projects closure.
- Supervising document management and creating content for Connect Moor.
- Developing, analysing and disseminating metrics reports based on Connect Moor activities.
- Day-to-day responsibility for IT tickets.
- Day-to-day responsibility for responding to queries across our platforms from our Business Support SMEs.
- Help maintain and improve existing Knowledge Management assets where needed.
- Maintain good data handling practices, including awareness of data protection, retention, and governance requirements.
- Lead coordinator for the annual external ISO audit, including evidence collation, stakeholder coordination, and action tracking.
Essential skills and experience:
- 1 to 3 years’ proven experience in a Knowledge Management role where excellent attention to detail and multitasking were required.
- Strong understanding of Knowledge Management principles and KM ecosystems.
- Understanding of the impact of data warehouse and carbon footprint on the business.
- Strong data management skills, including retention, information governance, and practical application of data strategy.
- Working knowledge of AI governance and responsible use (privacy/confidentiality, bias awareness, validation).
- Strong understanding of international business standards including ISO9001, ISO14001, GDPR for both UK and Europe.
- Analytical capability to build and interpret usage metrics and produce concise reports for stakeholders.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, problem solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be commercially aware.

Additional information:
- Candidates must be working towards becoming an expert in Purview.
- Moorhouse will pay for the candidate to achieve ISO 900 Lead Auditor course in support of our belief in continuous improvement of our Information Management System (IMS).
- Attendance in the office is expected three days per week.
- Responsibilities include serving as a member of the evacuation team, acting as Fire Warden, and providing First Aid.
- Active participation is required in the emergency evacuation team as part of corporate responsibility.
Technical Skills:
- Extensive experience with Copilot, agents, chatbots, and other artificial intelligence technologies.
- Advanced proficiency in SharePoint and the Microsoft 365 suite.
- Familiarity with third-party collaboration tools such as Mural and Mentimeter and willingness to develop these tools further.
Key relationships:
- Acting as a champion for Connect Moor and other knowledge tools.
- Prominent member of our Responsible Business Team.
- Symbiotic relationship between data and our environment as part of being RB this is built in the role to champion our corporate responsibilities & environment commitments.
- Cultivating relationships with a broad range of stakeholders including the Sector and Service Lines teams and Business Support teams.
- Collaborating with other cross-team initiatives, IMS/Compliance and the Accelerate Squad (our innovation team).
- Working with groups across the firm to identify champions who can support the integration of new solutions.

- You will receive a base salary up to £36,000 plus a discretionary bonus.
- 25 days’ annual leave increasing by one day for every full year of service to a maximum of 30 days with the option to buy or sell up to five days of annual leave per year.
