Job title: Ophthalmic TechnicianDepartment: Out-patient Department Moorfields South at St George’s and Satellites (Nelson Community Centre and Queen Mary Roehampton)Grade: Band 3Hours: 37.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday Include weekends), To provide a technical and clinical service for the Out-patient service in Moorfield’s South at St Georges and Satellites.

Following training, the post holder will be working alongside nurses and clinicians to assist with delivery of care to patients when attending clinics.

The post holder will be expected to undertake in-house training regarding the different equipment.

Assist in the education and training of new staff when needed.

Work with all members of the multi-professional team (nursing, medical staff, allied health professionals, support workers and all members of the management team).

To support qualified nursing staff in providing high quality individualised care to a define group of service users. Working in a manner that promotes dignity and human rights through the adoption of person centered care principles.

You will be allocated to different sites (St Georges, Nelson Community Centre and Queen Mary’s Hospital and Future Satellites under St Georges).
