Applications are invited for this Fellowship post specialising in Neuro-Ophthalmology and Adult Strabismus. The post is suitable for applicants from ophthalmology or neurology training backgrounds. Applicants are required to hold FRCOphth or equivalent and be registered with the General Medical Council.
The post is based at the Moorfields Eye Hospital St George's Site with days at both Moorfields City Road and Moorfields Croydon. The post provides exposure to adult Neuro-ophthalmology outpatient clinics. An example timetable is enclosed, but will be subject to change depending on service requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Provide high quality care to patients.
- Maintain GMC specialist registration and hold a licence to practice.
- Develop and maintain the competencies required to carry out the duties required of the post.
- Ensure prompt attendance at agreed direct clinical care Programmed Activities.
- Involve patients in decisions about their care and respond to their views.
- Participate in clinical audit and incident reporting.
- Adhere to clinical guidelines and protocols.
- Work collaboratively with all members of the multi-disciplinary team.
- Adhere to Trust/departmental guidelines on leave including reporting absence.
