We have an exciting Band 5 Staff Nurse- Scrub opportunity which has become available within our North West Operating department Moorfield's Eye Hospital at our network sites covering Northwick Park, Potters Bar and Ealing. The successful candidates will need to have excellent communication skills, be highly motivated, demonstrate good leadership, and be committed to the delivery of high-quality care within all areas of the ophthalmic theatre.

The successful candidates will hold the appropriate qualifications to be a currently registered practitioner (RGN/ODP) and demonstrate evidence of continuing professional development. We are committed to ongoing professional development and opportunities exist to undertake a wide range of in-house and external courses. Rotational opportunities throughout the other ophthalmic departments that make up Moorfields can be accommodated upon request.

The post holder will be responsible for the assessment, planning, and provision of specialist ophthalmic nursing advice and carries out specialist nursing procedures in scrub as well as providing care and support in the clinical setting as part of the perioperative pathway. Responsible for carrying out clinical ophthalmic practice within designated clinical areas, ensuring that high quality, current evidence-based nursing assessment, care planning, implementation, interventions and evaluations for patients is provided from admission through to discharge. Perform scrubbing duties of different ophthalmic procedures.
