Moorfields at Northwick Park is one of our satellites in North West London and offers a comprehensive ophthalmic service to our patients in the North West London area.

We are looking for a full time Senior Staff Nurse with a wide interest in nursing ophthalmic patients in a range of settings such as pre and post op care and out-patient clinics which includes retinal therapy.

This is an opportunity to join our dynamic team of ophthalmic nursing staff and develop your skills as an ophthalmic nurse practitioner.

The successful candidate will be required to be flexible, enthusiastic and committed to bringing the highest level of nursing care to patients in line with the Quality Agenda of the NHS and the Moorfields Nursing Strategy.

The candidate must be dynamic and have a flexible approach to working.

  • The successful candidate will be a supervisor to junior staff and support the sister with the day to day running of the clinic.

They will assist with the delivery of the ophthalmic services at Moorfields Northwick Park based in North West London.

  • The post holder will facilitate the provision of excellent nursing care and work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team.
  • Be a role model and a good leader
  • Engage with research and evidence-based practice
  • The post holder will be a part of a clinical team provided to ensure that clinical care of patients and others using the service receive an efficient and quality service.
  • The post offers the opportunity to further develop clinical and non-clinical skills within the team.
