Applications are invited for the post of Clinical Fellow in External, Cataract and Urgent care. The post will be suitable for an experienced clinical fellow looking to expand their skills with an exciting and varied timetable both in Outpatient and surgical sessions. All clinical sessions will take place at Moorfields at Croydon and there will be a chance to attend the City Road teaching sessions when appropriate and use the facilities at the City Road site including the Institute of Ophthalmology library. This post includes a surgical session to allow a Cataract/Corneal Surgeon to develop their skills alongside a Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and manage patients under the care of the Consultant
  • Manage urgent cases presenting at any time during the week
  • Supervise junior medical staff (speciality trainees) where appropriate and participate in informal and formal teaching for allied health professionals
