Moorfields Eye Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Data and Performance Analyst to support the Digital Clinical Services Division’s Single Point of Access (SPoA) service and Lead Provider contract. The analyst will lead the development and maintenance of complex datasets, performance frameworks and reporting pipelines across multiple organisations and systems, translating data into actionable insight for referral management, pathway oversight and continuous improvement.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Deliver a high‑quality, responsive and efficient analytical service supporting the SPoA through robust information collection and data analysis to inform service delivery and future transformational change.
  • Collaborate with Moorfields’ performance and information team, clinical, operational, corporate teams and the ICB analytical team to identify opportunities to deliver transformational change at scale and to support projects using robust information for benchmarking and change drivers.
  • Develop information dashboards, ensuring content is appropriate, reviewed and acted upon, and translate insights for different audiences.
  • Lead deep dives and triangulate data sources to identify and understand bottlenecks within patient pathways, corporate functions and processes.
  • Work with failsafe manager, programme managers, project leads and project teams to develop key performance/diagnostic indicators related to reporting on project delivery and addressing concerns.

Person Specification – Essential Experience Criteria

  • Significant experience or equivalent in performance management within the NHS or a comparable large organisation, preferably in a service‑related environment.
  • Proven track record of driving and delivering organisational performance improvement.
  • Experience analysing highly complex data with multiple components of information in both qualitative and quantitative formats.

  • Experience managing and/or motivating teams (fixed and virtual) to deliver high standards under pressure and change.

  • Degree qualification in a relevant subject, or relevant equivalent experience.
