Job Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an individual to join the Infection Prevention and Control Team at Moorfields Eye Hospital NHS Foundation Trust as an Office Administrator in a part‑time role for a 12‑month period.
The post holder will support the team by providing high‑quality administrative support and will be expected to demonstrate strong communication and IT skills, attention to detail, and excellent organisational and leadership abilities.
Key responsibilities include
- First point of contact for enquiries for the team, referring matters as appropriate by telephone, e‑mail or face‑to‑face based on urgency.
- Proficient use of Microsoft Word, Excel and other software packages.
- Ensuring work objectives are met on a day‑to‑day basis and prioritising workload.
- Maintaining and developing office systems, filing and managing Teams databases.
- Arranging meetings, preparing papers, distributing documents within agreed timeframes.
- Taking and drafting minutes for committees and other meetings.
- Gathering and sharing statistical data as requested.
- Supporting additional project work, developing business plans, producing reports and presentations.
- Performing any administrative duties required for the specific area of work.
- Locating and collecting patient notes as required by the teams.
- Stock ordering and monitoring.

Person Specification
Education and Experience
- GCSE or equivalent (including English & Maths)
- Previous experience in an administrative role
- Excellent computer literacy and ability to use Excel and Power Point to a high standard, including analysis and report production
- Experience of taking and drafting minutes and coordinating agendas
- Prepare papers in advance of meetings, appointments, teaching sessions, study days, conferences and other events

- Ability to contribute to team working and develop good working relationships
