The Deputy Divisional Manager supports the Divisional Manager in managing a portfolio of services, providing operational leadership, leading corporate projects, and contributing to Trust‑wide initiatives.
Key responsibilities include
- Line management of staff across medical, nursing, allied health and administrative disciplines.
- Ensuring effective delivery of services, including performance management and continuous improvement.
- Supporting the Divisional Director to promote an open and participative culture.
- Developing and reviewing Trust‑wide operational policies and processes.
- Managing a budget of £51 million and oversight of 650 staff.
- Representing the Trust in senior management meetings and Trust‑wide Management Meetings.
Education and Qualification
- Degree level or equivalent knowledge.
- Completed a Masters in Management or currently studying towards one.
Essential Experience, Skills and Knowledge
- Extensive service management experience within a complex organisation.
- Experienced line manager able to build a positive working atmosphere.
- Successful experience of leading complex change.
- Experience developing service strategies.
- Ability to manage large budgets, including business planning.
- Analytical skills for complex information and decision‑making.
- Advanced communication skills (written reports, presentations, verbal).
