Bulk Outloader / Warehouse Operative
Job Summary: to ensure effective management of the warehouse & efficient outloading of finished goods.
Salary: £27k-£29k (based on 40 hours per week)
Key tasks of the role
Management of store
- Monitoring and replenishing of stock
- Assisting customers upon collection of orders
- Preparing orders for collection and delivery
- Unloading and confirming receipt of palletised deliveries
- Keeping work areas tidy (and dealing with spillages)
Bulk Lorry Dispatch
- Receive loading instructions including: lorry/driver, order details, required loading order
- Inspect vehicle interior prior to loading to ensure compartments are empty and clean
- Follow loading instructions and complete outloading process with a high degree of accuracy
- Liaise with driver throughout the outloading process
- Work efficiently to minimise turnover time
- Complete all necessary paperwork
- Identify abnormalities and report to line manager
Tote Bag Dispatch
- Work on own initiative to identify tote bag orders for dispatch and prioritise orders as necessary
- Work with colleagues, either operating forktruck or discharging from bin.
- Prepare empty tote bag for loading, and complete outloading procedure with precision
- Add identification to filled tote bag and complete necessary paperwork
General
- Gain understanding of UFAS requirements, and work within requirements
- Assist in other areas of the business as required
Person Specification
Experience
- Previous stores / Warehouse experience
- Valid Counter Balance Forklift licence is desirable
- An agricultural background is advantageous

- Ability to work on own initiative while contributing effectively to the team environment
- Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions
- Ability to work in a busy customer-facing environment
