Moorepay is an Apax-backed payroll and HR software business.
This role owns the performance engine - paid and organic search - that turns budget into qualified pipeline at an efficient cost.
You run our channels end to end - paid search and social, marketplaces and review sites, CPL partners, and the organic-search and conversion paths on our website - and you own the numbers that decide whether it works: cost per qualified lead (SQL), conversion to pipeline, and channel-level CAC.
As we build paid capability in-house, this is the engine room of demand. You report to the Head of Demand Generation.
- This is a hybrid role, based 1-2 days a week in our Swinton office
- What you will own
- Inherit the specialist-built paid and workflow engine (live from August 2026) and bring it fully in-house - owning the channels, tracking and reporting end to end as the engagement transitions.
- Own the paid and performance channels end to end - how they are run, optimised and scaled - accountable for qualified pipeline, cost per qualified lead and channel CAC, within the strategy and budget the Head of Demand Generation sets.
- Plan, forecast and allocate spend for revenue contribution, where it drives the most commercial value.
- Own the channel numbers: cost per SQL, SQL-to-meeting conversion, and pipeline contribution.
- Test incrementality and channel ROI continuously, and reallocate to what pays.
- Use competitor and market intelligence to find new channels, growth opportunities and tactical edges.
- Support the ABM programme with paid account targeting and retargeting against the priority-account list.
- Demand generation & funnel progression
- Own the campaigns that move prospects from first click to qualified pipeline - new logo and, through retargeting and paid audiences, cross-sell into the base where expansion pays.
- Own bottom-of-funnel website performance: CRO, landing pages and CTAs, and traffic into high-intent journeys.
- Use personalisation (e. g. Webeo) to lift conversion and lead quality.
- Work with Product Marketing and Brand so on-page message, value propositions and journeys convert - and stay on-brand while they do.
- Channel & budget management
- Own and optimise all paid search and social (Google, Bing, Capterra, Approved Index and similar): campaign structure, budget and pacing, and ongoing creative, keyword and landing-page improvement.
- Own CPL partnerships (Approved Index, You Shortlist and similar): supplier performance, ROI and lead-quality tracking, and sourcing new partners that pay.
- Manage review and marketplace platforms (Capterra, Expert Market and similar) against CPC performance, budget and ROI.
- Extend search beyond Google - build visibility in AI search and answer engines as buyer research shifts there.
- Execute the SEO and organic-search strategy the Head sets - on-page, technical and content priorities, keyword and ranking work - to grow high-intent organic traffic and lower blended CAC.
- Own paid and organic execution in-house - the channels, the tracking and the reporting - so they improve continuously against CAC, qualified pipeline and revenue.
- Commercial alignment, data & team
- Ensure every demand-generated lead is captured in the CRM and reported accurately for performance and attribution.
- Work with Business Development to lift SQL-to-meeting conversion and close the loop on lead quality.
- Start hands-on with our agency partners - tight briefs, clear success measures, performance held to account - and build the in-house capability and team over time as the function scales.
Skills & experience
Who you are
- You have run a paid B2B budget at scale against CAC and pipeline targets, and made the calls on where it went.
- Fluent in the economics - cost per lead, CAC, conversion to pipeline, incrementality - and able to prove what your spend returned.
- Deep across paid and organic search (Google Ads, Linked In, GA4, SEMrush) and the analytics behind them; at home with experimentation and CRO.
- B2B Saa S demand experience, ideally including marketplace and intent channels (Capterra and similar).
- You use AI tools daily - creative testing, analysis and optimisation - and can show the gains. Comfortable owning a budget and developing a small team.
- Useful tools in this stack: Hub Spot, SEMrush, Google Ads, GA4, Word Press, Hotjar and Excel
