About the Role

The PR Manager sits within the Brand and Product Marketing team, one of the four pillars of marketing (Brand, Product Marketing, Demand Generation, and Marketing Operations). It is part of the Zellis BU marketing team and will be based between our Peterborough and Watford offices on a hybrid basis. This is a crucial role in shaping the company's public image daily and at key events, driving awareness and business within our target markets. The role involves developing and executing strategic PR and communication campaigns, managing media relationships, supporting events, and ensuring consistent messaging across all channels. Additionally, monitoring industry trends, conducting competitive analysis, and building relationships with key industry analysts are essential to enhance the company's market position. The role requires translating complex technical concepts into compelling narratives, fostering strong media and analyst relationships, and supporting the broader marketing team with data-driven insights to elevate the company's brand and reputation. The role will also manage the PR agency, oversee crisis communication, and manage analyst relationships.

Role Accountabilities and Responsibilities

  • PR Strategy & Execution: Developing and implementing PR strategies to boost brand visibility, managing media relations, and driving coverage for the company, its products, and leadership.
  • Media Relations: Building and maintaining relationships with journalists, publications, and influencers to secure positive press coverage and manage inquiries.
  • Analyst Relations: Cultivating relationships with industry analysts, ensuring the company's representation in reports and rankings, and coordinating briefings.
  • Content & Messaging: Creating clear, compelling narratives and press materials aligned with the company's value proposition.
  • Market & Competitive Analysis: Monitoring industry trends and competitor activities to inform PR and marketing strategies.
  • Support Events: Supporting the team at key industry events, especially during product launches or campaigns, to maximize PR opportunities.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Working with marketing, product marketing, and executive teams to ensure alignment of PR strategies with company goals.
  • Crisis Communication: Leading crisis communication efforts to protect the company's reputation.
  • Reporting & Analytics: Measuring and reporting on the effectiveness of PR and analyst programs to assess their impact on brand perception.
