We have an exciting opportunity for a Paralegal to join our expanding Commercial Property team, based in Warwick Town Centre. Working in a busy, fast-paced environment, this new position offers a fantastic opportunity to work closely alongside the partners and fee earners in the team.
About the Team:
Our experienced commercial property team deals with all aspects of the commercial property law including sales and purchases, new leases and lease renewals for both landlords and tenants, property development and finance.
The Role:
This role will see the successful candidate undertaking general paralegal and administrative support to the team as required to include the following tasks:
- Supporting the team with their case load including drafting documents, reporting to clients and progressing files in general.
- Liaising with clients and their other professional advisors to keep all parties up to date.
- Carrying out file opening and client due diligence, putting in hand searches and overseeing file closing procedures.
- Preparing completion statements and invoices.
- Overseeing completions, setting up payments and dating documents, preparing SDLT returns, drafting replies to requisitions and submitting registrations.
- Communicating with clients via telephone and email.
- Participating in business development and attending networking events to promote the firm.
The Candidate:
We are looking for a new team member who:
- Ideally has previous experience working as a Paralegal.
- Has a positive "can-do" attitude and loves learning new skills.
- Has experience of Practical Law or similar, and is confident at preparing draft documents and carrying out legal research.
- Has working knowledge of conveyancing practice and procedures.
- Is IT literate, and has experience using a case management system.
- Is highly motivated with attention to detail, and strong communication skills.
- Enjoys working in a fast paced environment and has the ability to remain calm under pressure.
The salary for this role will be dependent on experience and qualification.
Full time preferred but could be flexible for the right person. Competitive salary.
