We’re currently looking for a Audit Semi‑Senior who supports the delivery of audit assignments by performing fieldwork, preparing working papers, and assisting with the planning and completion stages of audits.
This role is ideal for individuals partway through their professional qualification and looking to build technical audit skills and client experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and lead audit engagements for a range of clients across various industries (under the guidance of Audit Seniors or Managers for more complex audits).
- Conduct risk assessments and develop appropriate audit strategies and audit programmes (under the guidance of Audit Seniors or Managers for more complex audits).
- Review and analyse financial statements and accounting records for accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
- Prepare audit documentation and working papers to firm and regulatory standards.
- Evaluate internal controls and business processes.
- Liaise directly with client staff to obtain necessary audit evidence.
- Supervise, train, and review the work of audit trainees providing feedback and performance evaluations.
- Support the preparation of draft financial statements and management letters.
- Assist in ensuring audit files are complete and ready for senior or manager review.
- Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of auditing and accounting standards.
- Work effectively as part of a team and contribute to a positive audit environment.
- Monitor engagement budgets and timelines to ensure audits are completed efficiently.
