We’re looking for an ambitious and forward‑thinking Accounts Manager to join our team and be a trusted advisor to a portfolio of clients, offering a blend of accounting, tax, planning and advisory services. This role is not just about managing accounts; it’s about understanding the unique needs of each client and offering tailored advice that helps them achieve their goals. You will be the trusted advisor, the go‑to person who clients rely on for guidance, expertise and clarity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Workflow management and staff allocations
  • Build strong and lasting relationships with a diverse portfolio of clients
  • Understand client goals and challenges, proactively offering solutions that add value
  • Organise and attend client meetings to best understand their needs
  • Oversee client accounts, ensuring accuracy, compliance and timely delivery of services – this includes the preparation and review of annual accounts, tax returns and one‑off advisory projects
  • Support and mentor junior team colleagues, reviewing work

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • Full accountancy qualification (ACA/ACCA or equivalent)
  • Solid experience within a similar role within an accountancy practice
  • Strong working knowledge of accounting principles, personal taxation and financial management
  • Good working knowledge of audit experience would be preferred (but not essential)
  • Proficient in accounts and tax software
