The role:
- Teaching English across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the potential for Key Stage 5
- Planning and delivering engaging lessons that develop students' literacy, analytical, and communication skills
- Assessing, monitoring, and supporting student progress
- Creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment
- Contributing to the wider success of the English department
The ideal candidate will:
- Hold QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
- Have experience teaching English within a secondary setting
- Demonstrate strong subject knowledge and a passion for English
- Be an effective classroom practitioner with excellent behaviour management skills
- Be committed to helping students achieve their full potential
- Be enthusiastic, organised, and dedicated to high standards of teaching and learning
