Our West End office is a market leading media specialist office, passionate about the sector and working with entrepreneurs, start‑ups and large international groups across media tech, advertising agencies, theatre and TV and film production companies.
Our West End office is growing and we are looking for supervisors to join our general practice media team. This role will be audit focused while getting exposure to wider business advisory work.
Key responsibilities include:- Carry out audit/ accounts and related tax assignments for clients
- Involve in planning, supervising and carrying out full end‑to‑end audits
- Take responsibility for achieving agreed budgets and meeting deadlines
- Set objectives for junior staff, supervise on site, review their work and coach on the job where necessary
- Deliver a complete audit file for manager review
- Supervise the fieldwork of the audit team, review junior work and assist with technical accounting and audit questions
- Prepare tax computations and Corporation Tax returns (CT600) using tax software
- Prepare statutory and consolidated accounts of companies, partnerships and LLPs under UK GAAP, FRS 101, FRS 102 and IFRS
- Maintain close liaison with clients and stakeholders at partner and director levels
- Promote the interests of the firm and provide prompt, efficient service to clients
- Assist with internal training courses and other special work as required (e.g., company valuations, HMRC investigations)
- Assist and supervise junior team members in partnership with office management
- Attend client gatherings or seminars on an ad hoc basis
- Identify business development opportunities with clients and progress them with partner/director liaison
- Network internally to know your team and the wider firm, including specialist services
- Qualified to ACA/ACCA or internationally recognised chartered accounting qualification
- Experience leading audit teams including group audits
- Experience in substantive and controls‑based audit testing
- Technically competent with solid understanding of UK GAAP and Auditing Standards
- High personal motivation and initiative
- Excellent communicator, client‑orientated and able to motivate teams
- Strong organisational skills, able to multitask, prioritise and meet deadlines
