Our Corporate Finance team operates across three key, collaborative services: M&A, Transaction Services, and Debt Advisory. Transaction Services is a core part of this offering and is experiencing significant growth as our transaction pipeline continues to expand.
We are looking for a Transaction Services analytics specialist with Financial Due Diligence expertise to join us as a Manager and play a pivotal role in shaping this growing area of our business. This is an outstanding opportunity for an ambitious professional to take on early responsibility across a diverse range of transactions and work directly with Partners and Directors who are actively involved in every deal.
Working closely with our in-house analytics and digital transformation team, you will have significant transaction exposure and contribute to delivering high-quality transaction services deliverables, while supporting initiatives that drive the future of our offering.
Key ResponsibilitiesAs an Analytics Manager within our Transaction Services team, you will be at the heart of our due diligence process, transforming raw data into critical insights that shape major investment decisions. Transactions will be across a wide variety of business sectors and will include vendor, pre-acquisition and pre-investment due diligence, vendor assist, pre-lend reviews, and Reporting Accountant roles on IPOs. Responsibilities will include:
- Analytics & AI Strategy: With support of the Partners and Directors, take ownership of the team's analytics and AI strategy to enhance the speed, accuracy and depth of the team's analytics capabilities. Creating and refining analytical models and best practice across the Transaction Services team. Assisting with team development through training and upskilling initiatives (in particularly the evolving use of AI). Developing and maintaining relationships internally, specifically with our analytics and digital transformation team.
- Engagements: Taking project responsibility for analytics on individual due diligence projects, reporting to the project team, ensuring that transaction deliverables and timelines are met within budget. Working closely with transaction managers to ensure complete and accurate analysis. Distilling complex analytical findings in a clear, concise and commercial manner. Managing the end-to-end data process, from requesting and extracting data from various client ERP and CRM systems to cleansing, validating, and structuring it for analysis. Applying analytical techniques to large and complex client datasets to uncover trends, assess performance, and identify risks and opportunities. Liaising with the client and the client’s other advisers (e.g., lawyers) as required. Participating in the confirmation of scope of field work and preparation of fee budgets. Participating in the preparation of PowerPoint documents and proposals. Participating in initial target client and referrer meetings.
- Advanced skills in data manipulation and analysis using programming languages.
- Expert-level ability in data visualisation software, particularly Power BI or Tableau.
- Strong foundation in accounting and financial reporting.
- Commercial acumen and ability to connect data support advisory conclusions.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and a proven track record of leading a team and assignments through to completion.
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Previous experience in Transaction Services or supporting Transaction Services teams, typically gained over 3-4 years or more.
- Chartered Accountant (ACA / ACCA qualified) or other similar professional qualification.
