This is an exciting opportunity to join CompanionCo at a pivotal stage of its growth, working closely with Moore Kingston Smith and other leading European firms, to shape and accelerate digital transformation across a fast-growing pan-European professional services group. The role is for a senior Business Development and Growth Leader, with flexible location within Europe and regular travel across the region.

The Role
CompanionCo is seeking a senior Business Development and Growth Leader to design and drive its organic growth strategy across Europe. This is a group-level role operating across multiple countries, firms, and service lines, with a focus on enabling cross-border collaboration, strengthening commercial capability, and unlocking growth in the European mid-market. Working closely with country-level Business Development leaders and senior stakeholders, the role combines strategic direction with hands-on execution. It plays a key role in shaping how CompanionCo goes to market as a pan-European professional services platform, while respecting strong local identities.
Key responsibilities
- Design, coordinate, and embed the group’s organic growth strategy across all countries and business units
- Act as the central connector between country Business Development leaders, aligning initiatives around shared priorities and target segments
- Enable cross-border business development through joint go-to-market initiatives, international desks, and collaborative sales activity
- Strengthen business development capability across the group, including tools, methodologies, data, and skills development
- Support the development of senior Business Development leadership and talent at both group and country level
- Drive visibility of pipeline, performance, and progress against growth objectives through clear reporting and governance
- Foster a collaborative, low-ego commercial culture focused on execution, client value, and sustainable growth
Key Skills, Experience and Qualifications
- Significant senior-level experience in business development, growth, or commercial leadership roles, ideally within professional services, consulting, or advisory environments
- Strong track record operating in international, multi-entity organisations, with complex stakeholder landscapes
- Experience within private equity-backed or high-growth environments is highly desirable
- Pragmatic, hands-on leadership style with the ability to move between strategy and delivery
- Strong change management capability, particularly in integration or transformation contexts
- Excellent communication skills, with the credibility to operate at senior leadership level across multiple countries
- Demonstrates a collaborative leadership style and operates effectively in complex, international environments
- Fluency in English is essential; additional European languages are an advantage
Additional notes
- This role can be based in any European country where CompanionCo operates (Belgium, United Kingdom, Ireland, Netherlands, Germany or Spain)
- Employment will be via the local firm, with costs recharged to CompanionCo
- This role involves regular European travel, with flexibility around planning and scheduling wherever possible
