The Junior PMO Officer will support our continuing growth and strengthen our project management team delivering support across multiple client projects. Reporting to the Project Management Lead, you will support the delivery and governance of finance ERP and technology-enabled transformation projects. Working as part of a small Project Management team of four, the role provides hands-on exposure across the full project lifecycle while ensuring consistent standards, controls, and reporting.
What will you be doing in this role?
- Project Reporting & Controls
- Prepare and maintain regular project status reports, dashboards, and summaries for internal and client stakeholders.
- Support tracking of project milestones, deliverables, dependencies, and key risks.
- Assist Project Managers in financial tracking activities including time recording compliance, budget monitoring, and forecast updates.
- Highlight emerging risks, issues, or delivery concerns to the Project Management Lead.
- Support resource planning and utilisation tracking across multiple concurrent projects.
- Assist Project Management Lead with maintaining the project pipeline, workload forecasts, and allocation schedules.
- Help coordinate project start-up and close-down activities, ensuring documentation is complete and stored correctly.
- Stakeholder & Team Coordination
- Support coordination between project managers, consultants, finance teams, and other internal functions.
- Arrange and document project meetings, workshops, and governance forums (e.g. project boards, steering groups).
- Produce accurate meeting minutes, action logs, and follow-up communications.
- Documentation & Knowledge Management
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation within agreed document management systems.
- Support the development and maintenance of PMO templates, guidance materials, and best practice documentation.
- Assist with capturing lessons learned and supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the PMO.
- Continuous Improvement & Professional Development
- Contribute to the improvement of PMO processes, tools, and reporting in a growing professional services environment.
- Develop an understanding of finance ERP systems, delivery methodologies, and public/private sector delivery requirements.
- Actively pursue learning and development opportunities aligned with project management and PMO best practices.
What skills and experience should I be able to demonstrate?
- Exposure to Project Support activities and a background in consultancy or business services delivery would be advantageous, though not at all essential.

Full job spec on request. You must be eligible to work in the UK on a permanent basis and be able to regularly travel to the Sheffield office each week as well as working remotely.
