This is an exciting opportunity for a business focused professional to build a career within a fast-paced consultancy environment, gaining exposure to a broad range of business functions including bids and proposals, HR, operations, compliance, administration, and business support. This is a varied and broad administrative role suited to someone who is highly organised, detail-oriented, adaptable, and keen to learn. You will play an important role in helping the business operate efficiently while supporting key business development and operational processes. As the role develops, there may be the opportunity to move directly into a key central business function.

What responsibilities will I have?

  • Business Development and Bid support - maintain bid management systems, coordinating bid planning, and assisting with qualification processes including win theme research, document preparation, and outcome tracking. Monitor bid portals and provide cover for the Manager when required.
  • Compliance, Quality Management and ISO support - Support Operations Manager in obtaining information for ISO certification, risk assessments, internal audits, and environmental/carbon reduction initiatives. Maintain accurate CRM system and conflict checking records, coordinate client due diligence, and support supplier onboarding processes.
  • Provide internal PMO and HR administration support, including project log reviews, candidate vetting, employment checks, and contract renewals.
  • Provide day-to-day business support administration, including inbox management, travel bookings, office supplies, facilities support, and handling incoming post.
  • Support conference and event coordination through logistics management, catering arrangements, branded merchandise, and courier bookings.
  • Assist with document formatting, proofreading, presentation standards, and maintaining organised Teams folders and document libraries.

What technical experience is required for the role?

  • Degree-level education (2:1 or above)
  • Previous experience in administration, office support, or customer service, with strong Microsoft Office skills and confidence using digital systems.
  • Interest in professional services, consultancy, or technology-led businesses, with an understanding of business operations and bid/proposal processes.
  • Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to produce high-quality professional documents, emails, and presentations.

Full job spec on request. You must be eligible to work in the UK on a permanent basis and be able to travel to the Sheffield office for 3 days each week.
