Current vacancy for a Fire Officer to work for a building consultancy, the role is permanent with a salary circa £50-£55k plus £5k car allowance and a generous benefits package.
The position will involve travel across the Midlands and London, with two days per week working from home and three days site based.
Responsibilities- Provide toolbox talks to demonstrate installation methods around passive fire protection on live projects, within external wall cladding systems.
- Inspect sites to ensure compliance with specifications and installation requirements including taking measurements, photographs and data capture, followed by site reports.
- Liaise with various stakeholders including contractors, designers, building control, fire engineers and end clients.
- Support the commercial team (sales/specification) in providing appropriate advice on products.
- Fire industry recognised qualifications or relevant degree/HND, and fire industry membership such as IFE or similar.
- Experience of working within a construction industry, test laboratory and/or engineering environment.
- A good working knowledge of Approved Document B (Fire safety).
- Ideally you will have overseen fire protection related projects within various sectors and have knowledge of different construction methods.
