Repairs Supervisor for a housing provider in Burton, reporting to the Repairs Manager.
Duties will include:
- To be responsible for the delivery of an efficient and effective, customer focused value for money responsive repairs service in both occupied and vacant properties.
- To be responsible for site supervision of work in progress and liaison with all trade operatives, sub contractors and customers for the effective delivery of the works.
- To be responsible for all aspects of maintenance works to housing stock.
- To provide day to day supervision and performance management of the workforce including regular onsite assessments and toolbox talks in all matters relating to the service to ensure that the correct works are carried out to the correct standard.
- Manage, support and motivate the operatives in your team and ensure they are recruited, trained, managed, appraised and developed effectively in accordance with Trent & Doves policies and procedures.
- Ensure that operatives in the team are able to achieve maximum efficiency and effectiveness by planning and scheduling the work taking action to address any imbalance.
- To act as a mentor to apprentices and trainees providing support and assistance in completing NVQ portfolios and attending progress meetings at the college as required.
