Job Title: HGV Mechanic Location: Brierley Hill Company Overview: Moore commercials, specialising in used HGV vehicles sales with over 200 vehicles in stock and selling 600 vehicles a year. Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented HGV (Heavy Goods Vehicle) Mechanic to join our team, focusing on preparing vehicles for sale in our used sales department. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that our vehicles are in optimal condition for sale, diagnosing and repairing any faults, and conducting thorough inspections to meet our quality standards. Key Responsibilities: Prepare vehicles for sale by conducting thorough inspections and ensuring they meet quality standards.
Diagnose faults with vehicles using diagnostic tools and equipment.
Repair vehicles efficiently and effectively, addressing any mechanical issues.
Collaborate with team members to ensure a smooth workflow and timely completion of tasks.
Keep accurate records of all repairs and maintenance performed on vehicles.
Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment. Qualifications: Strong mechanical aptitude and technical knowledge of vehicle systems, particularly HGVs.
Proficient in using diagnostic tools and equipment to identify and troubleshoot issues.
Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to find effective solutions to mechanical problems.
Attention to detail and ability to work with precision to ensure the quality of repairs.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively communicate with team members and supervisors.
