Moor House School & College is an outstanding residential and day school for children and young people with significant speech, language and communication needs. Situated close to a mainline station with direct links to London, the school is located in a beautiful rural setting on the Kent and Surrey borders. Moor House provides a differentiated mainstream curriculum to students aged from 7 to 19.

An enthusiastic, hard-working individualis required tomaintainthe highest standards of cleaning to the School and College. Flexibility isrequiredwith working hours which could be within the times of 6:00am to 8:00pm. This role can involve early starts and evening working.

Duties involve cleaning thecommon areasof the School & College, including the Sports Hall and Swimming Pool area. Candidates will need to be comfortable with working from heights and light lifting as the role will also includeroutine maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs, cleaning windows, light fittings,floorsand school vehicles.Whilstpreviousexperience is not essential, suitable candidates will need todemonstratea commitment towards providing a high standard of cleaning and working with minimal supervision. Experience of using floor cleaning machinery is desirable.

Moor House School opened in June 1947 and was the first school of its kind. It was set up by Dr Worster-Drought, a neurologist and Mrs Hudson Smith, a speech therapist and Principal of the West End School for Speech Therapy, London.

Moor House School & College is a highly specialist educational placement which provides individualised, targeted, and specialist education to a specific population of children who have significant and pervasive language disorders and/or speech disorders with average learning potential. The school therefore meets the needs of a discrete pupil population and undertakes very careful and detailed assessment before offering any pupil a place.
