Job Summary

We’re hiring a Senior People Partner, Europe to support our talent strategy and execution across the region, with a particular focus on partnering with our AI and Data teams.

You’ll be our most senior People presence in Europe, operating with a high degree of autonomy and accountability. With the Head of People and other key leaders based in North America, you’ll own the full employee experience and HR function across the UK and continental Europe.

You’ll work closely with the People team and Leadership team, but ultimately serve as the operational lead for all things People in the region. This is a hands-on, high-impact role that blends business partnership, HR operations, employee experience, and culture-building in one.

What you’ll do

  • End-to-End Regional Ownership: Act as the go-to People lead for all of Europe. Own HR operations, compliance, and employee experience across the UK and key EU markets

  • Strategic Business Partnering: Partner closely with managers in our Data, Research, and AI teams. Provide coaching, people guidance, and support that aligns with Moonvalley’s culture and growth goals.

  • HR Administration & Compliance: Lead all regional HR operations including contracts, benefits, immigration, compensation changes, policy development, and legal compliance. Own relationships with local counsel where needed.

  • Performance & Development: Support performance review cycles, feedback frameworks, and career pathing. Enable high-performance culture through clear processes and practical manager support.

  • Culture & Engagement: Champion belonging, wellbeing, and cultural connection across the region. Help teams stay aligned and inspired in a distributed, async-first environment.

  • Recruitment & Employer Branding: Partner with the Talent team on hiring needs across Europe. Contribute to our employer brand and help craft an attractive, differentiated employee value proposition.

  • Employee Experience & Team Events: Coordinate onboarding, engagement surveys, and regular team-building events ensuring our people feel supported, seen, and connected across borders.

  • Collaboration & Communication: Bridge time zones and functions. Share insights and updates regularly with the broader People team and executive leaders. Operate with sound judgment, even when flying solo.

What we’re looking for

  • 7+ years of broad HR/People experience, with at least 2+ years in a lead-level role

  • Proven ability to run HR end-to-end in a distributed, multi-country environment

  • In-depth understanding of UK employment law plus working familiarity with broader EU

  • Strategic thinker with strong operational chops—you can zoom out and execute

  • Experience partnering with technical teams (AI, data, engineering) in high-growth or scale-up settings

  • Confidence managing sensitive issues with maturity, discretion, and clarity

  • Fluent in navigating ambiguity and building while scaling

  • Bonus: experience with async or remote-first cultures; experience with Rippling or Deel

In our team, we approach our work with the dedication similar to Olympic athletes. Anticipate occasional late nights and weekends dedicated to our mission. We understand this level of commitment may not suit everyone, and we openly communicate this expectation.

If you\'re motivated by deeply technical problems, a seemingly never-ending uphill battle and the opportunity to build (and own) a generational technology company, we can give you what you\'re looking for.

All business roles at Moonvalley are hybrid positions by default, with some fully remote depending on the job scope. We meet a few times every year, usually in London, UK or North America (LA, Toronto) as a company.

If you\'re excited about the opportunity to work on cutting-edge AI technology and help shape the future of media and entertainment, we encourage you to apply. We look forward to hearing from you!
