About the Role

We're looking for a Site HSE Manager to lead the Health, Safety and Environmental agenda at our Tamworth Fulfilment Centre. Reporting to the Site Lead, you'll play a key role in delivering the Group HSE strategy at site level, ensuring safety is embedded into everyday operations and decision‑making. Acting as the site's HSE subject matter expert, you'll provide guidance, challenge and support to operational leaders while driving continuous improvement across health, safety and environmental performance. This is a highly visible role, combining hands‑on operational engagement with strategic oversight. Approximately 50% of your time will be spent on the fulfilment floor working alongside colleagues and leaders, with the remaining 50% focused on governance, compliance, reporting, planning and continuous improvement activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver the Moonpig Group Health, Safety and Environmental strategy across the Tamworth fulfilment operation.
• Act as the site's subject matter expert for all Health, Safety and Environmental matters.
• Maintain a strong presence across the operation, engaging with colleagues and leaders to promote a positive safety culture.
• Conduct workplace inspections, audits, risk assessments and behavioural safety observations.
• Identify hazards and drive corrective and preventative actions through to completion.
• Develop, review and maintain risk assessments, Safe Systems of Work and Standard Operating Procedures.
• Lead HSE reviews for operational changes, projects, equipment and automation initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with company standards, UK legislation and environmental requirements.
• Manage the site's audit programme and support external inspections.
• Investigate accidents, incidents and near misses, identifying root causes and opportunities for improvement.
• Analyse HSE performance data, providing insights, reporting and recommendations to stakeholders.
• Deliver HSE training, inductions and awareness programmes.
• Support emergency preparedness, contractor management and environmental compliance activities.
• Provide expert advice, coaching and support to operational leaders on Health & Safety matters.
• Influence decision‑making to ensure safety considerations are embedded into operational and project activities.
• Champion colleague involvement in safety improvement initiatives and risk reduction activities.
• Collaborate with Group HSE teams to ensure alignment with company standards and strategic objectives.

About You

• Minimum five years' experience within a warehouse, fulfilment, logistics or distribution environment.
• NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent Health & Safety qualification.
• Strong knowledge of UK Health & Safety legislation and industry best practice.
• Experience conducting risk assessments and developing Safe Systems of Work.
• Proven ability to create and maintain operational procedures and Standard Operating Procedures.
• Experience managing audits, inspections and compliance activities.
• Background within e‑commerce, fulfilment or automated warehouse environments.
• Demonstrated success influencing behavioural change and driving a positive safety culture.
• Experience investigating incidents and implementing effective corrective actions.
• Strong stakeholder management, coaching and communication skills.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and reporting capabilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and reporting tools.
• Chartered IOSH membership (or working towards Chartered status) would be advantageous.
• Environmental management qualifications or experience supporting automation, machinery and engineering risk assessments would be beneficial.

• Stage 2: On‑site Interview with the Site Lead and Group EHS & Resilience Manager (60 minutes)
