About the Role
We’re looking for an experienced Affiliate Marketing Manager to take ownership of the affiliate channel across Buyagift and Red Letter Days, driving scalable growth, strong commercial performance, and high-quality customer acquisition. In this role, you’ll lead the affiliate strategy end to end — from planning and optimisation to performance analysis and partner management. You’ll work closely with our wider Acquisition, Marketing, B2B and Trade teams to ensure affiliate activity aligns with broader business goals, while managing significant budgets and delivering against ambitious targets. This is a hands‑on, commercially focused role for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced, performance‑driven environment and enjoys building strong relationships both internally and externally.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and own the affiliate marketing strategy, ensuring efficient delivery, optimisation and channel growth through scalable, cost‑effective campaigns aligned to budgets and targets.
- Manage and optimise the Buyagift and Red Letter Days affiliate programmes, ensuring activity aligns with business objectives and delivers strong commercial outcomes.
- Manage high‑scale budgets on a daily basis, tracking spend and performance, and leading ongoing optimisations to achieve targets.
- Monitor and analyse campaign performance to identify trends, insights and opportunities for improvement.
- Produce clear, high‑quality weekly reporting and performance commentary, identifying gaps and proposing solutions to drive continuous improvement.
- Own and develop effective affiliate processes and reporting to support long‑term, sustainable commercial growth.
- Manage the affiliate agency relationship, working collaboratively towards shared goals and partnering on the planning and execution of campaigns.
- Identify, onboard and manage affiliate partners, negotiating deals, promotions and incentives to drive high‑quality traffic, conversion and sales.
- Work with a diverse portfolio of affiliates, optimising activity to maximise user growth and channel performance.
- Conduct regular market and competitor research to ensure Buyagift and Red Letter Days remain leaders within affiliate marketing.
- Collaborate closely with the wider Acquisition team, as well as Marketing, B2B and Trade teams, to understand business challenges and opportunities.
- Take ownership of affiliate technical, commercial and operational issues.
- Contribute to finance and data processes, including performance reporting and validations.
- Stay up to date with industry trends, attending conferences and networking events where appropriate to build and maintain strong relationships.
About You
- Substantial experience in a similar affiliate marketing role, gained in‑house, agency‑side or with a publisher.
- You have experience working in a sales‑orientated, target‑driven environment and are motivated by delivering strong commercial results.
- You are highly analytical, with proven experience using data to drive insight, optimisation and growth.
- You’re confident producing and presenting performance reports, with the ability to clearly explain results, gaps and opportunities.
- You have strong Excel skills, including formulas, lookups and pivot tables.
- You bring excellent commercial acumen, with outstanding presentation, influencing and negotiation skills.
- You have experience managing affiliate agencies and working closely with affiliate networks and their reporting interfaces.
- You communicate clearly and confidently, building strong, productive relationships with partners and internal stakeholders.
- You’re comfortable working autonomously, setting your own priorities, while also collaborating effectively within a wider team.
- You can manage multiple competing priorities to tight deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
- You’re resilient, adaptable and commercially astute, with a strong understanding of key trading levers and performance drivers.
- You’re naturally curious, enjoy testing new ideas, and bring a creative, detail‑focused approach to problem‑solving.
- You’re enthusiastic, motivated and consistently deliver high‑quality work.
