About MoonPay
MoonPay is for builders with something to prove. This isn't a "work on cool crypto stuff" company. It's a high-standards, high-velocity, high-accountability company building the operating system for value movement. If the internet moves information, we move value: crypto, stablecoins, tokenized assets, and whatever comes next. Four offerings make that real: fund, tokenize, trade, and spend. 30M+ customers and 500+ ecosystem partners run on us. Licensed in the U.S. Regulated across the UK, EU, Canada, and Australia. AI is the default operating mode here. It's woven into every role, and we expect you to use it daily. It handles the manual work so you can deliver on what actually matters. You'll thrive here if outcomes excite you more than process, if impact motivates you more than titles, and if you want hard problems, real ownership, and teammates who love winning, building, and doing it together. The bar is high. The pace is real. We're building for what's next, for humans and agents.
Recent recognition: Forbes' America's Best Startup Employers 2026. 2nd in Crypto Services on Fortune's inaugural Crypto 100, The Sunday Times Best Places to Work two years running.
Research has shown that women are less likely than men to apply for this role if they do not have experience in 100% of these areas. Please know that this list is indicative, and that we would still love to hear from you even if you feel that you are only a 75% match. Skills can be learned, diversity cannot.
Locations Supported: London, UK. Relocation available: No. Work pattern: This role will be hybrid.
About the Opportunity
In this role, you will own the roadmap for the systems that establish and verify who a MoonPay customer is, from sign-in through KYC clearance. This spans authentication (sign-in, MFA, session security), identity verification (KYC tiers, risk scoring, sanctions screening), and document verification, the vendor-driven flows that sit inside the KYC funnel.
You will sit within the Identity team and work closely with Compliance, Risk/Fraud, Legal, and Engineering, as well as the third-party identity verification vendors MoonPay relies on. Your work will directly impact onboarding conversion, fraud loss, and MoonPay's ability to operate compliantly across multiple countries, balancing customer experience against risk and regulatory requirements on every decision. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to own a product area where user experience, fraud risk, and hard regulatory constraints all collide, and who's motivated by getting that balance right rather than optimizing for just one of the three.
What You Will Do
- Own the roadmap for authentication and identity verification, prioritising across conversion, fraud/risk reduction, and regulatory requirements.
- Drive improvements to onboarding funnels, reducing drop-off in document capture and verification while maintaining or improving fraud and conversion rates.
- Manage and evaluate third-party KYC/IDV vendor relationships, including performance, cost, and regional coverage.
- Partner with Compliance and Legal to translate regulatory requirements into product specs and rollout plans.
- Work with Engineering to ship changes to authentication flows without introducing account-takeover or fraud exposure.
- Define and track funnel metrics.
- Represent Identity in cross-functional planning with Risk, Fraud, Compliance, and Legal stakeholders.
About You
Must-have experience and skills:
- 4+ years of product management experience, with meaningful time spent on identity verification, KYC/AML, fraud, or authentication/security products.
- Working familiarity with KYC/AML concepts and authentication concepts.
- Experience managing or evaluating third-party identity/KYC vendors.
- Comfort operating in a regulated, multi-region environment where the same feature behaves differently by jurisdiction.
Nice-to-have experience:
- Background in fintech, crypto, or another regulated marketplace.
- Experience with sanctions screening, PEP/adverse media checks, or transaction monitoring.
Bonus Points:
- Experience with crypto-native authentication (wallet-based sign-in, sign-in with Ethereum) or crypto compliance requirements.
