About the Opportunity: This is a foundational hire. You’ll be the first dedicated Staff Product Designer focused on design systems at MoonPay. You’ll define and lead the systems practice that scales across our Consumer and Platform products, building from the ground up with dedicated engineering partners and high visibility across the org.

What you will do:

  • Audit and define our v1 system architecture across mobile and web
  • Design and document tokens, components, and interaction patterns
  • Stand up and maintain documentation that’s usable, scalable, and adopted
  • Drive system adoption through education, workshops, and developer pairing
  • Set up governance, contribution models, and release processes
  • Define KPIs and track adoption and quality across teams
  • Act as a multiplier for design and engineering velocity

About You:

  • You’ve shipped and scaled design systems in production
  • You think in systems, not just screens
  • You’re comfortable working cross-functionally to align teams
  • You write clear documentation and love untangling complexity
  • You’ve worked across iOS, Android, and web (React preferred)
  • You bring strong craft and care about polish, performance, and accessibility
  • You lead without needing a team of reports
