About the Opportunity
The Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU) safeguards MoonPay against financial crimes and money laundering using analytics and blockchain tracing tools. It works with regulators and shares intelligence to combat financial crime.

The FIU Data Analyst supports the Compliance Technology Manager in overseeing the compliance tech stack and data science needs, ensuring regulatory adherence across all MoonPay operations globally.

Locations: London (Hybrid)

What you will do

• Develop dashboards and reports for compliance metrics
• Manage data requests from regulators, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
• Identify trends and anomalies through data analysis
• Support investigations with insights from data
• Document the compliance data stack for audits and validations
• Assist with ad-hoc analyses and serve as a point of contact for compliance data needs
• Share findings with stakeholders across teams

About You

• Bachelor\’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Finance, or related; Master’s preferred
• 2+ years experience with SQL, Python
• Proficiency in data visualization tools like Looker or Tableau
• Strong problem-solving and attention to detail
• Effective communicator, able to explain technical concepts
• Adaptable, independent, eager to learn new tools
• Interest in cryptocurrency, blockchain, and financial crime detection

**Bonus points:**

• Experience in fintech/crypto environments
• Knowledge of cloud services (GCP, Snowflake, AWS)
• Familiarity with AML rules and transaction monitoring
• Understanding of blockchain concepts and on-chain data
