Newham is a vibrant inner‑city borough in the heart of East London with excellent transport links to the rest of the Capital and South‑East England. Home to the Olympic Park, the Royal Docks and City Hall, it is also one of the youngest and most diverse councils in the country, with a mission to build a fairer Newham for all of its residents. We’re seeking a Policy, Research and Partnerships Manager to help design and use robust research and insight to inform strategy and drive improvement across the borough. This is your opportunity to turn data and insight into action, influencing decisions at the highest level and ensuring our policies reflect the lived experiences of our residents.
About the Role
As part of our Corporate Strategy team, you’ll provide expert policy and research advice to the Mayor, Cabinet, Chief Executive and senior leadership. You’ll lead the council’s research programme, monitor external policy developments, and help design strategies that deliver better services and outcomes for residents. You’ll also build and strengthen partnerships across sectors, including with anchor organisations, the voluntary and community sector and local universities, to tackle borough‑wide challenges and attract investment.
