The Role
We’re seeking a detail-driven Project Support Officer to provide high-quality, end-to-end support across change and transformation initiatives within HR&OD. You’ll help keep projects on track through robust coordination, documentation, data and stakeholder engagement.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Project coordination & governance: plan, track and maintain project controls, action logs and timelines; organise meetings and capture actions for effective follow-up.
- Methodologies & process: support delivery using structured project management approaches.
- Data & reporting: collate and analyse project metrics; produce concise reports for senior stakeholders and boards.
- HR policy support: provide consistent advice aligned to Council policies; contribute to HR toolkits (guidance, flow charts, template letters, intranet).
- Stakeholder engagement: build constructive relationships with managers, Trade Unions and HR&OD colleagues; promote best practice and continuous improvement.
About You
You’ll combine strong organisational skills with a collaborative approach and the confidence to work across multiple stakeholders. We’re looking for someone with:
- Excellent communication skills, able to convey complex information clearly and confidently while building constructive relationships.
- Project delivery skills with attention to detail and resilience; capable of balancing competing priorities.
- Knowledge of HR policies, employment law and change principles, with the ability to give clear, practical advice.
- Data awareness and proficiency with MS Teams, Word and Excel; able to produce well-structured reports.
Qualifications/experience: Degree-level or equivalent experience; PRINCE2 (or equivalent).
