We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Personal Assistant to provide comprehensive, high-level support to the Director of Placemaking. This is a pivotal role at the heart of a busy, creative and strategic directorate, supporting work that includes regeneration, planning and culture.
As PA, you will manage a varied workload, acting as a trusted gatekeeper and key point of contact for the Director. You will ensure the smooth running of day-to-day activities, enable effective decision-making, and help coordinate priorities across internal teams and external partners. The role requires discretion, initiative and the ability to operate confidently in a fast-paced, politically and publicly visible environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Proactive diary and inbox management, including prioritising competing demands
- Preparing briefings, agendas, reports and presentations
- Coordinating meetings, workshops and site visits, including logistics and follow-up actions
- Acting as a key liaison with senior stakeholders, partners and elected members (where relevant)
- Supporting governance processes, record keeping and confidential matters
- Anticipating issues and resolving problems before they arise
- Providing wider administrative support to the Placemaking leadership team as required
You will be an experienced individual, comfortable supporting a senior leader and working with complex information and multiple stakeholders. You are calm under pressure, highly organised, and take pride in delivering high-quality support.
