About the Role
Moonbug Music is seeking a driven and detail‑oriented Label Partnerships Associate to join our Label Partnerships & Business Development team. This is a pivotal role that sits at the intersection of relationship management, operational delivery, and business growth - supporting Label Partnerships & Business Development in bringing our artist and IP partnerships to life, while helping to identify and pursue new commercial opportunities. You’ll be someone who builds genuine trust with partners, cares about their growth, and finds real satisfaction in helping them succeed. You’ll take ownership of the day‑to‑day account administration that keeps our label partnerships running smoothly - ensuring partners feel valued, informed, and set up for success at every stage. You’ll also play a key role in outreach and new business, helping to build a pipeline of third‑party artists and IPs that align with Moonbug’s vision for kids and family music. This is a role for someone who is highly organised, proactive, and energised by complexity - comfortable thinking on their feet, building processes where none yet exist, and finding smarter ways to work. There is real scope for innovation here: you’ll be expected to help shape how the team operates, not just execute within it.
Key Responsibilities
- Account Management & Partner Relations
- Serve as the primary day‑to‑day point of contact for third‑party label partners and artists, managing communications with professionalism and responsiveness.
- Maintain a clear and organised overview of all active partnerships, ensuring deliverables, deadlines, and commitments are tracked and met.
- Prepare and distribute regular partner updates, reports, and performance summaries drawn from DSP and internal data sources.
- Support the negotiation and administration of artist, producer, and licensing agreements in collaboration with legal and finance teams.
- Coordinate onboarding of new partners, ensuring smooth integration into Moonbug's release and distribution workflows.
- Project Management & Release Coordination
- Manage the end‑to‑end release lifecycle for label partnership projects, from initial briefing through to distribution, ensuring all stakeholders are aligned and timelines are met.
- Coordinate cross‑functional inputs from marketing, legal, metadata, and finance teams for each release campaign.
- Maintain detailed project trackers and status documents, proactively flagging risks or blockers to the Label Partnerships & Business Development team.
- Oversee metadata creation and digital asset delivery to DSPs and our distribution partner, UMG, in line with platform requirements.
- Monitor post‑release performance and compile actionable insights to inform future campaign planning.
- Business Development & Outreach Support
- Support the Label Partnerships & Business Development team in identifying and qualifying new third‑party artist and IP opportunities that align with Moonbug's brand and audience.
- Lead initial outreach to prospective partners across key talent discovery channels - including DSP editorial contacts, managers, agencies, and PROs.
- Prepare pitch materials, capability decks, and briefing documents for new business meetings.
- Maintain a well‑organised pipeline of prospective partners, tracking outreach status, follow‑ups, and next steps.
- Conduct market and competitor research to surface trends, emerging artists, and new partnership opportunities in the kids and family music space.
- Process Design & Operational Understanding
- Build and maintain scalable processes and templates for recurring tasks across account management, release coordination, and partner communications.
- Document workflows clearly so that processes can be replicated, delegated, or refined over time.
- Identify inefficiencies in current ways of working and proactively propose improvements.
- Champion the use of AI tools and agentic workflows to automate repetitive tasks and improve output quality — from research and reporting to drafting communications and tracking performance.
