Site Manager / Supervisor Northern Scotland Permanent £40,000 – £50,000 + car allowance and benefits package The Client My client is recognised as a world class provider of engineering services to the utility sector and wider markets.They are currently recruiting for have a number of vacancies for Site Managers / Site Supervisors based in Northern Scotland. The main purpose of the role is to manage site-based teams delivering the Green Recovery substation construction and maintenance works across the SSE North DNO region. The Site Supervisor will lead and to be part of a team installing and constructing electrical power distribution and transmission systems from 400V to 132kV in a manner that delivers safe, profitable, timely, high workmanship quality and fit for purpose networks for the customer, and which promotes the company in a positive light at all times Duties and Responsibilities will include: The installation of power cable joints and terminations on underground LV to 33kV cables or substation cable systems, switchgear, transformers associated equipment in substations operating at up to 33kV. Complete all tasks and task types allocated, increasing skill range and knowledge in the process. In addition to power cable jointing this can include excavation works, cable pulling, mechanical fitting, electrical fitting, and small wiring. Undertake the site supervisor role in accordance with the CDM regulations as required – this may include the control of Customer appointed contractors and/or company appointed sub contract labour when required Requirements: The installation of power cable joints and terminations on underground LV to 33kV cables or substation cable systems, switchgear, transformers associated equipment in substations operating at up to 33kV. Complete all tasks and task types allocated, increasing skill range and knowledge in the process.
