Looking to build a career in account management, client relationships, and business development?

Moon Moments is recruiting on behalf of a growing client in Southampton for an Account Executive to join their expanding team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to develop practical commercial experience in account management, customer acquisition, business development, and relationship management while representing nationally recognised charities.

This is a community-based, face-to-face opportunity where you'll engage with members of the public in residential neighbourhoods, local high streets, and other community locations where people live, work, and shop. You'll represent meaningful charity campaigns, build lasting relationships, and help organisations grow their supporter base through professional customer engagement.

Whether you're looking to begin your commercial career or build on previous customer-facing experience, you'll receive structured training, ongoing coaching, and continuous support from day one.

About the Role

As an Account Executive, you'll act as the face of the charity campaigns you represent, developing relationships with potential supporters and delivering an outstanding customer experience throughout every interaction.

You'll learn how to manage conversations professionally, identify customer needs, communicate campaign objectives clearly, and guide supporters through the registration process. Along the way, you'll develop practical experience in relationship management, customer acquisition, and commercial communication while working towards individual and team performance goals.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Building meaningful relationships with members of the public in locations where people live, work, and shop
  • Raising awareness of charity missions, campaigns, and the impact they have within local communities
  • Managing customer conversations from initial introduction through to supporter registration
  • Developing practical experience in account management, relationship management, customer acquisition, and consultative sales
  • Delivering outstanding customer service while maintaining high standards of professionalism
  • Working towards individual and team performance objectives while contributing to campaign growth
  • Participating in daily coaching sessions, campaign briefings, mentoring, and ongoing professional development

Skills You’ll Develop

This role is designed to help you build valuable commercial experience that can support future careers in account management, client services, business development, sales, and leadership.

You’ll gain experience in:

  • Account management and client relationship building
  • Customer acquisition and supporter engagement
  • Business development and commercial communication
  • Brand awareness and charity campaign representation
  • Consultative selling and customer relationship management
  • Presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal communication

  • Motivated to build a long-term commercial career
  • Comfortable working in customer-facing environments
  • Positive, self-driven, and eager to learn
  • Able to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team

Previous experience in customer service, retail, hospitality, sales, business development, client services, or account management is beneficial but not essential. Full training will be provided.

  • Earnings (£1,935 per calendar month) include a combination of base pay plus uncapped on-target earnings through performance-based incentives (subject to successful completion of a four-week probationary period)
