Lilian Faithfull Care is a charity with 78 years experience and proudly provides care, support and a home for life for remarkable residents in Gloucestershire.
The charity puts people over profit and delivers care with dignity and respect. They offer a range of care for each step of a persons care journey, including day care, respite stays, residential living, care for couples, dementia, nursing and end of life (palliative) care. They also offer independent living accommodation in their apartments and bungalows. They care for over 300 residents and day guests, across six care homes and as adult day care hub in Cheltenham and Stroud and are supported by around 400 staff.
They have a vacancy on our Trustee Board and are looking for a Trustee who can add specific knowledge and skills and who have enthusiasm and commitment to contribute to the charity. LFC Trustees are responsible for providing appropriate oversight, governance, and leadership to LFC in the pursuit of its strategies to fulfil its charitable purposes. Trustees can add value to support this development and in defining the longer-term strategic direction of LFC to ensure continued delivery of the charitys mission.
They are looking for candidates with knowledge/experience of the following:
Previous experience as a Trustee of a charity of a comparable size / income / working model.A good understanding of and interest in charity governance.Demonstrable strategic development experience at Board level.Knowledge / experience of elderly care (either professionally or as a Trustee).Knowledge / experience of Safeguarding.
Key Information:
Location: Cheltenham, Gloucestershire.Time commitment: ~18 days per year, including quarterly Board meetings, strategy development days and committee meetings.Start date: 4th June 2025.Unremunerated + reasonable expenses.
Closing date 2 nd
March 2025 with interviews being held at the beginning of April 2025.
