Hybrid with offices in Trowbridge, travel locally and nationally. £48,000 - £51,000 (plus pension contribution) per annum. Hours: 37 hours per week, Full-time.

Our client, Wiltshire and Swindon Sport CIC (WASP), the Active Partnership for Wiltshire and Swindon, is seeking an experienced and dynamic Operations Director to join the team. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in driving the successful implementation of their strategy and operations, while building strong relationships with strategic partners to achieve shared outcomes. Key Responsibilities:
  • Contribute to strategic planning and development as part of the executive team.
  • Lead the implementation of key strategic plans and new projects aligned with WASP's strategic outcomes.
  • Manage resources, budgets, and staff effectively to ensure operational success.
  • Secure external funding and build collaborative relationships with external organisations.
  • Monitor and report on operational performance, providing meaningful insights and evidence.
  • Ensure compliance with quality management, safeguarding, and health & safety standards.
Person Specification:
  • Demonstrable experience in business development, bid writing, and project management.
  • Proven track record in performance management, team motivation, and development.
  • Strong IT skills, including databases, spreadsheets, and websites.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
  • Ability to travel independently and work evenings/weekends when necessary.
  • Experience of working with a Management Board.
  • Strategic communication planning, including social media.
