Our client is Brunelcare, a long-established and highly respected charity providing high-quality housing, care and support for people in later life across Bristol, South Gloucestershire and Somerset. With over 1,000 homes, six care homes, three extra care schemes, a retirement village and two reablement centres, Brunelcare plays a vital role in supporting people to live well, independently and with dignity.
They are now seeking to appoint a new Chair of the Board, following the planned departure of their current Chair. This is a pivotal leadership role, providing strategic direction, inclusive governance and strong partnership with the Chief Executive Officer and Executive Team.
For this role we are keen to hear from individuals with significant senior leadership experience, ideally gained within housing, social care, health, regulated services or wider charity governance. You will bring proven experience of chairing Boards or complex committees, strong stakeholder engagement capability, and the ability to lead a diverse Board with clarity, empathy and integrity. Financial acumen, sound judgement and a commitment to Brunelcare's values - positive, passionate, caring, kind, diverse, one team, going the extra mile, acting with honesty and integrity, are essential.
We are looking to create an unlike-minded board which represents the diversity of the communities of which we are a part.
This is an outstanding opportunity to shape the future of a values-driven organisation with deep local roots and a clear mission: later living that makes the most of every moment. As Chair, you will play a central role in strengthening governance, supporting strategic delivery, ensuring customer voice remains at the heart of decision-making, and championing Brunelcare across the region.
