We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and customer-focused General Manager to lead our family-owned, independent, wet-led pub in the heart of Ripon. We pride ourselves on serving quality ales, continental lagers, and wines in a welcoming and vibrant environment.

This is a hands-on role, working alongside the team while taking full responsibility for the day-to-day running of the business. You will work closely with the Company Director to drive performance, profitability, and future growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Recruiting, training, and managing staff
  • Delivering and promoting excellent customer service
  • Stock control, ordering, and handling deliveries
  • Maintaining cellar standards and quality of beer
  • Promoting and marketing the business through digital channels, including social media
  • Ensuring compliance with Health & Safety legislation and licensing laws
Requirements:
  • Minimum 2 years experience in a pub management role
  • Proven cellar management experience, particularly with cask ales (essential)
  • Personal licence holder
  • Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills
  • References required
Desirable:
  • Experience using EPOS systems and reporting (training will be provided)
